Krum Bums

Krum Bums - Band | Maniac Attack Records

KRUM BUMS were founded in 2000 in Austin, Texas, USA. Their name origins from an old-fashioned, derogative term for kids living in poverty during the great depression in the 1930s, living only on the leftovers of others (like breadcrumbs). KRUM BUMS' sound is best described as snotty hardcore punk rock with some heavy metal influences, garnished with melodic vocals and catchy singalongs. Before their breakthrough in the USA, they had to take a "detour" through Europe, when T.S.O.R. RECORDS from Switzerland stumbled across their talent and released their first album "The sound".
After lots of touring, two LPs and the split double 7" with Complete Control on T.S.O.R. RECORDS, the band got that much recognition forcing them to work with bigger, international record labels. Although the cooperation with T.S.O.R. Records has ended, they are still friends and share a lot of memories together.

Krum Bums - "The sound" (CD, 2005)

Krum Bums - The sound | Maniac Attack Records
Taking their fight to the streets, Austin's KRUM BUMS spew venomous punk rock with hardcore tendencies that incorporates elements of thrash metal and tackles themes of integrity and complacency. Formed in 2000 and led by the confrontational growl of David Rodriguez, the KRUM BUMS rush like salt on an open wound, intense and painful, a fact proven by the always stunning live set. Remarkably, that ferocity is captured on the band's studio output. You will love this record if you like your streetpunk mixed with a good dose of crust.
